Morfik is taking up slowly. Fundamentally this is a marketing issue. As far as I see the team wants to mature the product to a point where it has clear advantage over competitors. I do believe that 2.0 is a major milestone in this respect. There are a few key elements that inhibit wider acceptance: <ul> <li>virtually zero marketing: up until now a few trade-shows and conferences, thus word-of-mouth is really the only option (so please go and spread the word:-);</li> <li>being a closed source product at this age is definitely making OSS lovers unintrested;</li> <li>Morfik being a small company does not help either to convince CIOs;</li> <li>still missing some breakthrough applications to show the potential;</li> <li>lack of third-party commercial support - probably we (PannonRex) are the (almost) only one offering services;</li> <li>missing a true community building regime: communities do not just emerge, they need dedicated people to man the deck.</li> </ul> Just a couple of reasons. No user groups, no independant sites, hardly anything. It looks like a great product. Am I missing something?
