The Morfik unorthodox development-deployment model makes it somewhat challenging to get Morfik applications hosted with common hosting service providers. Thus the Morfik mother company provides an integrated, cost effective, one button push hosting service. While this is perfectly suitable for the most common types of projects, there are certain constraints that limit its applicability.

We did face these constraints ourselves and many partners have expressed the same concerns recently. That’s why we decided to put our many years of Morfik expertise to good use and provide custom hosting services for the Morfik community. As of today (June 2009) we are the only alternate dedicated Morfik hosting provider to our knowledge (please let us know if you find others).

Our goals are:

• be as cost effective as the Morfik offerings;
• cater for custom requirements that are not met by the Morfik service like:
  • special libraries needed on the server;
  • direct access to the database for other applications;
  • background processing (cron jobs) needed (e.g. mass image conversion, document preview generation, email notifications, etc.);
  • special configurations (payment gateways, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, load-balancing & high availability, etc.);
  • integrate third-party server components;
  • special security requirements;
  • special back-ends like Amazon EC2, Google App Engine, etc.;
  • and so on…
• provide added value services like custom deployment, version control, SEO, advanced monitoring, service and code maintenance, and administration;
• apply our Morfik expertise to making sure your hosting solution is optimal (something that common hosting service providers cannot do);
• augment the hosting service with our Morfik-related consulting services and PMAP to provide a complete package to you.
